Embedded credentials and certificates along the way

At Meritus College, every credential and certificate are milestones that build real-world skills for immediate impact and stack toward your associate degree.

Every learner begins their course of study with an industry-connected, short-term credential of 13 semester-credit-hours, so you gain immediate skills to apply to your career. The industry credential is embedded into the year-long 25 semester-credit-hour Meritus College certificate in the same specialization. You’ll complete the certificate in your second semester, diving deeper into technology and business skills. The semester-long credential and year-long certificate prepare you for external industry credentials from Google or HRCI, helping you build career-relevant expertise immediately.

In your second year, both credential and certificate build into the Associate of Applied Science in Technology and Innovation. The AAS program is structured for learners to complete the degree in two years, with flexible 8-week terms, career-relevant projects, and our “Workplace as Laboratory” model.

Coursework at Meritus College builds technical and professional skills across core areas in addition to classes completed as part of your industry credential and certificate. The classes listed below represent sample courses, with full course lists and descriptions available in the academic catalog.
